Moving right along

As my roommates show the house to fill the rooms for the summer, the fact that I'm leaving really hits me. I've only lived in this house for the past two months, I was living here during my university career. Here I am in close communion with long standing friends who I will miss greatly.

But, what lies ahead is so exciting - more exciting than leaving is hard. This summer holds my wildest dreams come true.

This fall, when it came time to chose your summer assignment, I was told that my ministry partnership team wasn't big enough to sign on as a full-time campus staff worker. Therefore I could not even consider going this summer. The idea of missing the opportunity to do the summer mission's trip and seminary training was devastating, but I resolved that I'd just have to wait until next year. And then the Lord revealed his way to fulfill the desires of my heart.

Oh, to think that I will once again be able to help students seek the Lord, and gain training to be of more help. To think that the Lord will be renewing my mind as I trust him to bring the gospel to Montreal and Paris, as I seek to minister to the needs of the student missionaries, and as he opens my mind to deeper truths of his written Word.

My part in the Montreal-Paris mission's trip this summer is Health and Safety, and social events. So far, that includes a short presentation of Health and Safety in the city on project, and three social evenings. The whole mission's trip will take place in French, and most of the students are Anglophones willing to put forth the effort to live in their second language. I want to organize social event that will help us grow as a community and have our hearts love Montreal as God's does.

next Monday I will join my staff team for this mission and the ball will start rolling. As for right now, I must register for seminary.

Good night.
