Prayer Requests from September 13th

Hello my faithful prayer warriors,

It has been some time since I wrote you some prayer requests. Sometimes I find it hard to communicate my needs, and the ministry's needs. I trust that the Lord gives meaning to the murmurs of our hearts.

The Lord has been gracious to show me that no matter where we are, we are ministers of the faith. I have been finding it difficult not being in Montreal personally interacting with the new and old students and giving my time and skills to that need. God is showing me how he uses us and our prayers to powerfully and effectively bring about change throughout the world, no matter our location. And he uses us no matter where we are to reach those around us.

Please pray for:
  • The small groups starting up on the Université de Montréal. They have had the largest turn out this year already!! (Psalm 1:1-3)
  • The 45,000 students at the Université de Montréal, and the 12 of those students involved in the ministry.
  • The Lord to bring 50 new believers to saving faith this year (throughout the Québec ministries), and 500 new believers across Canada (Please join us in prayer by signing up for a 15 minute prayer slot for October 1-5th at http://prayerchain.campusforchrist.org/)
  • The new students who are coming into their degree as Christians, to continue building into their relationship with the Lord and hold strong to their faith despite the pressures and challenges around them. (Romans 12:1,2)
  • For more believing Christians to make an impact in the lives of those around them, especially in Quebec (there being much fewer believing Christians there). (Matthew 28:18-20)
  • Great success in all of the frosh events that are planned by Christian ministries, especially those of my team members.
  • Unity amongst the staff members, and unity amongst the student members, and unity amongst the Christians in Montreal.
Personally, I praise God for his continued faithfulness. He's faithful to answer when we ask (though often in unexpected ways). Seriously, just ask, you'll be surprised at what you've been missing out on simply because you didn't ask.
He's supplied:
  • A cell phone for me so that I am not isolated at home alone all day to make the calls I need.
  • A bus pass so I can get to my appointments and so I can find a studious place to work that's not isolated.
  • Supportive Christians who share the desire to reach the students of Montreal.
  • People who are able to support me through resources and encouragement to help me continue along the Lord's path.
  • People who desire to share my vision and the ministry with as many people they know.
  • A gracious coffee shop owner.

I would ask for prayers for:
  • Tonight and this weekend as I go with friends to different church events to meet their friends and hopefully others interested in knowing about my vision and ministry.
  • Thanksgiving weekend: I hope to speak in front of my family's church, and connect with others in the area- some of whom I don't know personally.
  • For diligence in accomplishing my priorities, not just good things. For organization and wisdom so that I know what my priorities are each day.
Thank you so much for your generous support for this ministry in your continued prayers!! Know that you are making this ministry possible through your prayers!

In Christ,

Rebecca
